The SMART CARD used in Activaero's AKITA^® devices is an electronic chip card that is designed to transfer all relevant therapy parameters, such as the drug and dose-specific inhalation information, to the AKITA^® control unit. More than any other technology, Activaero?s SMART CARD concept ensures consistent and reproducible dosing tailored to the inspiratory capacity of each individual patient within a clinical trial.

The SMART CARD saves all therapeutic data from treatments using the AKITA^® device for PC-based compliance analysis. This is of significant value for clinical studies since 100% compliance control is possible, something which is of particular importance for long-term outpatient studies.
