Better technology - Better clinical studies

Activaero offers two variations of the AKITA® inhalation system for clinical development programs using inhaled drugs. Using the FAVORITE technology, electronically controlled drug inhalation is combined with two different aerosol generators. Depending on the drug specifications and the study program, the most suitable nebulization technology can therefore always be identified and used.

AKITA2 APIXNEBTM

AKITA2 APIXNEBTM combines the virtues of Activaero's FAVORITE Inhalation technology with PARI's eFlow® vibrating membrane nebulizer technology. Exceptional drug utilization (approximately 80% of the input dose) and high aerosol output make AKITA2 APIXNEBTM the ideal system when it comes to using expensive formulations efficiently and delivering the maximum dose of aerosol to the lungs in a short period of time. AKITA® JET

AKITA® JET is also based on the FAVORITE inhalation technology, but uses a PARI jet nebulizer for aerosol generation. Aerosol generation with PARI Jet, which uses the classic Venturi technology, typically lacks the high efficiency and performance of a vibrating membrane nebulizer but has clear advantages with regard to complex drugs or certain patient groups such as children.
